A single national price is a weak planning tool
Cat grooming quotes vary with location, service, coat length and condition, handling time, mobile travel, and the business model. A useful comparison starts with two or three complete local quotes for the same requested outcome.
Make the scope identical
Ask each business to quote the same components: coat assessment, bath, drying method, brush-out, nail trim, ear care, sanitary trim, haircut or lion cut, and any pickup or mobile fee. Record what is not included.
Ask which fees can change
Matting, fleas, aggression, extended handling, extra product, late pickup, cancellation, and travel can change the total. Ask whether the business can provide a range after discussing your cat and when you will be contacted for approval.
Compare value and fit, not only the total
A quieter environment, shorter onsite time, feline-specific experience, or a mobile visit may matter more for a particular cat. Conversely, a service you do not need should not inflate the comparison.
Use the quote planner
The quote planner totals amounts supplied by a groomer. It deliberately does not invent a market price. Keep the written quote and confirm whether tax and gratuity are included.
