Who operates this website

Nocturnal Devs operates Cat Groomers USA. This policy applies to this directory and its browser-based tools, not to other Nocturnal Devs apps or the independent businesses linked here.

Website delivery and search

There are no visitor accounts or online payments on this site. The hosting provider processes technical requests needed to deliver the pages, which may include your IP address, browser information, requested URL, and timestamps. Search is performed in your browser against a downloaded directory index. Search words appear in the URL and may therefore appear in browser history and hosting logs. Do not enter private information into directory search.

Optional location

The nearby finder asks for your browser’s permission to access location. Our website code uses the returned coordinates locally to calculate approximate distances; it does not send those coordinates to a geocoding service or Nocturnal Devs. Your browser or device location service has its own processing practices. You can decline access, search by place instead, or revoke permission in browser settings.

Saved comparisons and planning tools

Selected business IDs are saved in your browser’s local storage under cgu-compare-v1. They remain until you clear the comparison or remove this site’s stored data. Appointment briefs, quote comparisons, local-shortlist filters, and call-script inputs are processed in the page and are not sent to us by the tools. Copying or printing a brief creates a copy under your control. Avoid including sensitive veterinary or personal information.

Email and listing submissions

If you email us, Nocturnal Devs and its email provider process your address, message, and any attachments so we can respond, review a correction, or handle a request. We may need limited follow-up information to locate a record or verify a request. Please send only what is necessary. We retain correspondence as needed to handle the issue, maintain a correction history, and meet applicable obligations; no fixed mailbox deletion period is configured by this website. You may ask us to review or delete information you sent.

Business information in the directory

Profiles summarize public business information and link to their sources. Some business contact information may also identify an individual, including a sole proprietor. Contact us to report an error, request a review of personal information, or explain a safety or privacy concern. We do not publish submitted customer records or private correspondence as listing content.

Advertising, cookies, and analytics

This version of the site does not load advertising or advertising cookies. If advertising is introduced, this notice and the available privacy choices will be updated before ads are enabled.

Automatic Google Analytics

Google Analytics starts automatically when a page loads on catgroomersusa.com, without a consent pop-up. It is linked to our separate Cat Groomers USA Firebase project. We use it to understand page visits and engagement and improve the directory. Website hosting remains on Cloudflare.

Our default configuration allows first-party Google Analytics cookies, including _ga and _ga_*, to distinguish browsers and measure visits, sessions, and engagement. These cookies generally expire after two years and may be renewed on later visits; you can remove them through browser settings. Requests can include technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, page paths, referring website, and cookie identifiers. Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. This measurement is not anonymous browsing. Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, and Google Signals remain disabled.

For visitors Google identifies as being in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics storage remains denied. In those regions the Google tag can send cookieless measurement and consent-state requests without reading or writing Analytics cookies. Those signals do not provide the same visitor and session reporting as the normal cookie-enabled configuration.

Our tracking configuration strips query strings and URL fragments from reported page addresses and sends only the referring website’s origin. We do not send precise device coordinates, planning-tool inputs, email contents, or saved comparison lists as analytics events. Automatic form, site-search, and outbound-link measurement is disabled. Google Signals and advertising personalization are not enabled.

The site does not display an analytics consent prompt or an on-page analytics switch. Global Privacy Control keeps the Analytics tag from loading. The legacy Do Not Track signal alone does not disable this analytics implementation. Any opt-out saved through an earlier version of this site under cgu-analytics-opt-out-v1 is still honored. Browser privacy tools may also block measurement. Blocking future requests does not delete information already received by Google. The directory and tools work without analytics.

Google may process information outside your country. See Google’s privacy policy, how Google uses information from partner sites, and Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Contact our Privacy Officer below about information requests. Any future advertising would require its own appropriate privacy and consent controls before activation.

External services and processing locations

Business sites, booking providers, Google Maps, and other external links have their own privacy policies. Opening them may disclose information to those services. Nocturnal Devs is based in Canada; hosting, email, and other providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries where they operate. We do not control the records retained by independently visited websites.

Your choices and requests

You can browse without sharing location, clear saved comparisons and browser history, and avoid sending an email. Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold, or raise a concern about its use. We may need to verify enough information to respond. Parents or guardians who believe a child sent personal information may contact us for review. This directory is intended for people arranging pet care and is not directed at children.

Security and policy changes

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Use care when sharing information by email. We will update the date on this page when the policy changes and provide additional notice where appropriate for a material change.
